OpenClaw Academy is an independent publication for people building and operating OpenClaw. We are not an official OpenClaw channel and do not speak for its maintainers.
Our job is to turn fast-moving source material into useful operator decisions. Every story should help the reader act, decide or understand a meaningful change.
Source hierarchy
Primary sources
Official OpenClaw releases, commits, merged pull requests, issues, security advisories, repository documentation and docs.openclaw.ai.
Direct ecosystem evidence
Vendor documentation, release notes, pricing pages, CVE/GHSA records, published security research and reproducible test results.
Discovery sources
X, Reddit, Hacker News, newsletters and third-party reporting may surface a lead. They do not replace primary evidence when primary evidence exists.
Publishing threshold
We publish when an operator needs to update, configure, investigate, choose, mitigate or understand a material change. We do not publish commit-by-commit paraphrases, unverified rumours, rewritten release notes with no analysis, or articles created merely to carry an affiliate link.
The editorial engine is explicitly allowed to decide that nothing deserves publication.
Agent workflow
- Collector: records official source evidence in a durable queue.
- Triage: groups related signals and identifies possible operator impact.
- Editor: drafts only after the publishing threshold is met.
- Technical verification: reproduces technical claims and commands when practical.
- Review: checks sources, versions, dates, safety and disclosures.
- Publication gate: drafts remain unpublished until approval.
Automation reduces labour; it does not lower the evidence standard. Current intelligence articles list primary sources and a last-verification date. Legacy pages that have not been reverified are clearly marked as archive content and excluded from the news feed.
Corrections and updates
Software changes. When a material factual error is identified, we correct it and update the verification date. Substantive corrections should be disclosed in the article. Readers can report errors to [email protected].
Commercial independence
Sponsors buy clearly labelled inventory, not conclusions. Affiliate availability does not determine tool rankings or whether a product is covered. Monetised links are disclosed before the first such link, and meaningful non-affiliate alternatives remain eligible for coverage.
Sponsored material is labelled at the top. Sponsors cannot review or suppress unrelated editorial coverage. Read the complete affiliate disclosure or sponsor policy.
